This one of a kind, original oil painting. This piece is a part of my Fantastical Escape fall 2024 collection.
This piece was inspired by the talented performers I had the pleasure of witnessing during the Cary Ballet Company rehearsal for The Nutcracker, which will be performed for the public on December 7th at the Cary Arts Center. I was graciously given a tour of Cary Ballet Company, where I saw dedicated parents preparing the vibrant and dynamic costumes for the show. I also had the opportunity to sit in on several rehearsals, where I was deeply moved by the music and the dancers’ movements. Did you know that the Sugar Plum Fairy represents hope, faith, courage and transformation? The Nutcracker is filled with so many inspirational themes, and I truly enjoyed creating this piece.
Base layers are acrylic covered with oil paint throughout. I use a palette knife for painting the majority of all of my pieces. Canvas is stretched cotton over wood. Edges are painted to compliment the art.
If interested in a frame, we do custom made to order frames that will need to be purchased separately. We can have your piece framed, wired and shipped to you.
Framing strongly encouraged to preserve and protect the artwork.
Painting is signed on the front. It is signed and dated on the back.
All pieces come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
We are happy to provide more extensive photos, videos, and renderings of the painting for you if you have a questions or concerns about how it will look in your space.
I create all pieces in my studio and gallery in Cary, NC. We have shipped over 300 pieces in the past 3 years all throughout the USA and internationally. We use UPS and Fedex for shipping.
We will send a separate quote for shipping, a piece this size usually ships between $150-250 depending on the location.
